A judge says George Zimmerman can be released on $150,000 bail as he awaits trial for the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester set several conditions Friday for Zimmerman's release. He cannot have any firearms, drink alcohol or use drugs and must observe a curfew. The judge says details need to be worked out between Zimmerman's attorney and law enforcement, and that Zimmerman will not be released Friday.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 26 shooting of Martin in central Florida. He claims self-defense.

Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman has taken the witness stand during his bail hearing and apologized to the parents of Trayvon Martin for shooting their son.
Zimmerman made the brief statement during Friday's hearing over whether he should be released on bail while he awaits trial on second-degree murder charges.
Zimmerman told Martin's parents that he was "sorry for the loss of your son." He said he didn't know that Martin was 17 and that he was unarmed during their altercation in a central Florida neighborhood.
The 28-year-old Zimmerman shot Martin the night of Feb. 26. He says Martin attacked him.

The parents of a Florida neighborhood watch volunteer charged with killing Trayvon Martin told a judge he is not a violent person.
The father of George Zimmerman testified during Friday's bail hearing his son always "turns the other cheek."
His mother said her son is protective of vulnerable people. She said he mentors two African-American children.
Prosecutors raised a 2005 incident where an undercover law enforcement officer said Zimmerman attacked him and an incident where a former girlfriend said she was also attacked.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. He says he shot Martin in self-defense.
The judge will decide whether to release Zimmerman on bond.
