Stevens Point grad Provisor qualifies for London Olympics

Three wrestlers from central Wisconsin competed Sunday in Iowa City for a spot on Team USA for this summer's London Olympics.

Stevens Point grad Ben Provisor won the 74-kilogram championship match and with the win, Provisor qualifies for the 2012 Olympic games.

Stevens Point resident and 41-year-old Dennis Hall came up short in his attempt to become the oldest wrestler to ever qualify for Team USA wrestling. Hall, looking to make his fourth Olympic games, was eliminated in his third round match.

In the women's competition, Tomahawk native Alyssa Lampe fell to 2008 Olympic qualifier Clarissa Chun in the 48-kilogram championship.
