Child sex abuse case against Wis. billionaire on hold

RACINE (WKOW) -- A judge has put a hold on a sexual assault case against Wisconsin billionaire Curt Johnson.

Johnson's trial was scheduled to start Monday in Racine County, but the Wisconsin attorney general's office asked the Court of Appeals to stay the case from proceeding. The state has about two weeks to ask the Wisconsin Supreme Court to review a recent Court of Appeals decision.

Johnson's family has run SC Johnson for five generations. The 56-year-old is accused of sexually abusing a middle school aged girl for several years.

A hearing on the status of the case is scheduled for June 8.
