MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW) - It appears politics hasn't affected any of the bonuses given out to state employees in Wisconsin. An analysis by WKOW in Madison shows that at least 28 of the 93 workers at the Department of Justice who received bonuses also signed recall petitions against Governor Walker.
Jay Heck from Common Cause says, "The attorney general and the Walker Administration were smart enough to realize, that if they excluded anybody who signed a recall petition, then it would look blatantly partisan and political."
Four of the employees who received bonuses and signed recall petitions were assistant attorney generals.
