HOLMEN, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Juniors at Holmen and Onalaska High Schools got a taste of the real world Thursday.
It was the schools' 8th annual Reality Store, a financial simulation activity held in the Holmen High School gym.
Each student spent about an hour and a half choosing careers and making decisions about their budgets and lifestyles.
Area businesses and volunteers helped run the event, complete with giving each student a fake paycheck and checkbook.
The activity is meant to help students learn about financial responsibility and future life choices.
