Attacks intensifying in Governor recall race

MADISON (WKOW) -- Attacks over the state's job losses are intensifying.

Walker's campaign is taking aim at one of the leading democrats, Tom Barrett.

The campaign said Barrett's failed policies in Milwaukee are an anchor on the state's ability to create jobs.

Thursday, Barrett fired back.

"I don't have a partner in the Governor's office right now who is helping me create jobs in the central city. Rather I have a governor, who for ideological reasons, is taking those jobs that were created in the central city and allowing them to move to a different state."

The other leading democrat in the race, Kathleen Falk, avoided the blame game.

"Tom will defend his record, I'm proud to defend mine. During my 14 years as County Executive,  Dane County had the largest job growth in the state."

Backed by groups that endorsed her, Falk said only that Walker has cost workers their jobs.
