Packers trade up to pick Worthy, Hayward

The Packers traded their 59th pick to move up and select Michigan State defensive tackle Jerel Worthy with the 51st overall pick in Friday's second round of the NFL draft.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman finished his junior year with 10.5 tackles and 3.5 sacks for the Spartans.

The Packers traded their No. 59 and No. 123 overall picks to move up and draft Worthy.

Later in the second round, Green Bay traded its No. 90 and No. 163 picks to get Casey Hayward, a defensive back from Vanderbilt.

Hayward finished his Commodore career with 15 career interceptions and recorded 198 tackles in 2011.
