Triple Fatal in Portage County

TOWN OF LINWOOD, Wisconsin (WXOW) -  Three people are dead after a fiery crash in the Town of Linwood in Portage County. The crash happened around 2:30 Sunday morning. Deputies arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames. 

Authorities are not releasing the victim's names at this time, but a family member says one of the victims was a 19-year old UW-Steven's Point student. Police say one of the victims was ejected from the vehicle, two others trapped inside the car.

Firefighters say the crash knocked out power to some homes in the area. Police say alcohol may have been a factor.  The county coroner says an autopsy will be done in Madison this week.
