Student attack leads to investigation in Whitehall

Whitehall (WQOW) - A student is attacked at school and a fellow student now faces an expulsion hearing.

It happened Friday in Whitehall. The superintendent says a sophomore boy pushed an eighth-grade boy into a locker, then threw him to the floor.  The victim hit his head and was taken to the hospital.  He was back in class on Monday.

The superintendent says they are looking into allegations of other attacks by the same student on the same victim and are trying to determine whether 'bullying' occurred.  The suspect has been suspended indefinitely. The expulsion hearing will be held May 15th.
