Holmen, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A group of Holmen Viking third graders learned about the legislative process from the source today.
State representative Steve Doyle stopped by Viking Elementary School to explain how the process works, with the help of some dictionaries donated by AT&T Wisconsin Pioneers.
Doyle started off by having the children name some current government officials. Then he asked them to read the definition of a representative, to give them some perspective on what he does. He also explained how a bill becomes a law and the importance of the U.S. Constitution.
This program has donated nearly 9000 dictionaries this year statewide.
