Kass reports his department has investigated four recent thefts of propane tanks.
He urges people to take precautions against the thefts by securing the tanks.
Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to contact the Sparta Police Department at 608-269-3122 or Monroe County Crimestoppers at 608-269-7867 (STOP).
