Wife of former Minn. Viking guilty in hit-and-run

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The wife of a former Minnesota Viking has been convicted of two felonies in a hit-and-run that killed a man.

Amy Senser was charged with three felony counts of criminal vehicular homicide in the death of Anousone Phanthavong. Senser was found guilty of two: leaving the scene of an accident and failure to promptly report an accident.

Senser was acquitted on a third felony charge of gross negligence.

Phanthavong was filling his car with gas on Aug. 23 when he was hit by Senser soon after she turned off a Minneapolis freeway ramp.

Senser testified that she didn't see Phanthavong and thought she had hit a construction barrel or pothole.

Senser's husband Joe played four years for the Vikings in the early 1980s.
