La Crosse, WI (WXOW) ----- Members of the Blair-Taylor community are cleaning up following last night's storms.
The storm caused damage to hundreds of properties. That includes the 7-12 school. Officials describe the damage there as extensive. And as a result all classes in the district are canceled Friday. So are activities. School is set to resume Monday.
The town lost power. You can see fallen trees and debris throughout the area. Despite the damage the aftermath brought people together. The school's superintendent says "Community pitching in and doing a lot of good things to help each other. Clear roadways, Yards. I see a lot of people out doing that and it's nice to see communities do come together when something happens." Superintendent Dennis Dervetski also says he's grateful the storm damage is structural. No injuries are reported.
