Vikings, political leaders, plan stadium rally

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings are inviting fans and stadium supporters to the Mall of America on Saturday to hear the latest on efforts for a new football stadium.

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen will join Gov. Mark Dayton, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, Sen. Julie Rosen, Rep. Terry Morrow and Vikings vice president Lester Bagley to thank fans for their support. They'll encourage fans to contact their legislators ahead of a crucial floor vote scheduled for Monday in the Minnesota House.

The event is set for 12:30 p.m. in the Sears Courtyard at the Mall of America in Bloomington.
