LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Two Logan High School seniors place 16th in the nation in a computer skills competition.

On Friday, Evan Chaney and Ulric Velimirovic competed against 2,000 other high school students in the CISCO North American Computer Networking Skills Competition.  The pair earned the right to the national competition by winning the Wisconsin competition a week earlier.

The competition is done on the internet and features theoretical and skills based exams.  The teams must use their computer skills and programming knowledge in the challenge.

The two are part of the district's La Crosse CISCO Networking Academy.

CISCO, who sponsors the competition, makes networking technology products.
