Wausau, WI (WXOW) - Mayor Tom Barrett hit the campaign trail Thursday. He made stops in Wauwatosa, Wausau and Green Bay in what he is calling his neighbor to neighbor campaign.
In Wauwotosa, the Mayor sat down with more than one dozen people in lawn chairs in the front yard of a home.
Barrett says he is focused on bringing people together and that's why he's making stops right in people's front yards.
Over the next few weeks Barrett says he will take his campaign to neighborhoods, coffee shops and front porches.
Barrett faces Governor Scott Walker in a June 5 recall election. Democrats are trying to oust Walker from office as payback for proposing a contentious law stripping most public workers of nearly all their union rights.
