Eagles dominate Oshkosh in WIAC Tourney opener

La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)  The UW-La Crosse Eagles left no doubt they are worthy of their number one seed in the WIAC Tournament.

They beat UW-Oshkosh 10-0 in 8 innings in their first round match-up.

Brooks Braga had a three-run homer to go along with Jay Fanta's solo shot to lead the offensive charge for UW-L.

Corey Geary chipped in two hits and two runs batted in.

Tim Verthein pitched a complete game, giving up 5 hits and striking out 5.

The Eagles improved to 31-9 overall and will host UW-Whitewater Saturday at 10am at North Campus Field in the double elimination tournament.
