
LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) – Police officers and members of the community were honored Tuesday at the annual La Crosse Police Department Awards Ceremony.
Among those recognized were a man who drove an injured officer to the hospital, four individuals who helped rescue an intoxicated man from the Mississippi River and a pair of officers that spearheaded a six-year narcotics investigation.

Employee Award of Excellence: CSE Robert Diersen
Traffic Safety Award: Officer Wade Blazejak
Chief's Special Achievement Award: Sergeant Jacob Jansky, Lieutenant Matthew Malott, Investigator Tony DeLap
