SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Sparta Police are reminding people to not let strangers into their homes.
Patrol Sergeant Joel Ames says in a release that they've gotten several complaints from people about this type of activity.
Two separate women have been identified to police.
What usually happens is the woman, either claiming to be pregnant or with a small child, knocks on the door of a home asking to use the bathroom.
Once inside, the woman will take a long period of time. After the woman left, some of the homeowners discovered prescription medications were taken.
Sparta Police recommends that homeowners not let these people into the residences.
Anyone with information on this activity is asked to call the Sparta Police Department at 608-269-8712 or Monroe County Crime Stoppers at 269-STOP (7867).
