La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - A La Crosse man shot by La Crosse Police while trying to stab an officer in 2006, wants to be released into the community.
29-year-old Joseph Smith was found not guilty by mental disease or defect and was placed in a mental health facility 6-years ago.
