
Middleton, WISCONSIN (WXOW) The Central boys used a school record performance in the high jump from Sawyer Smith to climb their way to a Sectional championship Thursday at Middleton.
Smith also won the 400 meters, took second in the long jump and anchored Central's 4 by 400 relay team to a first place finish.
Teammate Aron Klos won the 300 hurdles.
Other highlights included Logan's Paul Escher winning the 3200 meter run and Logan's Josh Johnson winning the pole vault by clearing 14-feet even.
Holmen took third as a team thanks to a win in the 4 by 100 relay and Max Jessesski's win in the 200 meters.
For the girls, Amber Sanderson set a school record in the 100 hurdles and was part of a record-setting 4 by 200 relay team.
Sanderson also won the 300 hurdles and teammate Kayla Brown won the shot put with a toss of 42 feet, 3 inches.
Logan took third as a team.
