Onalaska, Holmen set for State Golf

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Time for high expectations of going low. The 2012 WIAA State Golf Tournament tees-off Monday at Madison's University Ridge Golf Course.

After a sensational sectional, one that included a 10-man playoff, both Onalaska and Holmen look to secure their spots as Wisconsin's best golf team.

While the Hilltoppers bring with them defending individual state champion Ben Skogen, Don't count out Holmen. The Vikings are a force to be reckoned with, led by senior and future Viterbo V-Hawk, Bennett Laxton.

The first of the two-day tournament gets underway Monday morning at 7:00 a.m.
