
LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - After a fitting 10-run win in the 1st game of their 10th season at Copeland Park, the Loggers looked to follow it up with a home sweep of Madison.
The red-hot bat of Julian Jones continued for La Crosse. Jones blasted a two-run home run in the 3rd inning to give the Loggers a 4-2 lead. Madison added a run in the 5th, but Jones responded with his 3rd RBI of the day on his second hit. He went 2-4 and improved his batting average to .550 on the young season.
Jordan Haseltine recorded the win for the Loggers over Madison's Cody Forsythe. La Crosse improves to 3-2 overall. They hit the road for three games before returning home to face Eau Claire on Thursday.
