LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Its growing time at the Kane Street Community Garden.
And volunteers are needed according to the garden coordinator Todd Huffman.
He says volunteers are always welcome at the garden to help water the crops or with some weeding.
Volunteers also help with harvesting the vegetables such as broccoli, snap peas, and lettuce.
Huffman says there's always something ready for picking. They pick every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Through the efforts of all the volunteers, the Hunger Task Force helps grow and distribute 30,000 pounds of fresh produce each season.
