Lake Hallie (Press Release) - On 06/09/12 at 5:38 p.m. Officer Samuel Eaton of the Lake Hallie Police Department was dispatched to the area of State Highway 29 near State Highway 53 for a report of a moped driving erratically.

A motorist reported that they observed a moped in front of them traveling westbound on State Highway 29 that was swerving from lane to lane and driving on the shoulders of both sides of the highway.  Before intercepting the moped, it drove off the roadway and into the ditch on State Highway 53

The driver agreed to take the tests but failed the test and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. He was transported to the hospital for a legal blood draw.

Nicholas Yenter, 20, of Eau Claire was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated (2nd Offense) and Operating after Revocation (1st Offense-criminal).  Mr. Yenter was transported to the Chippewa County Jail and turned over to jail staff.
