Jurors and the gallery watch an interview with Eric Koula done by investigators.LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Retired state agent John Christopherson testified much of Tuesday as the Eric Koula trial continues.
Christopherson's testimony came after jurors spent time watching an interview done with Eric Koula on July 29th. In the interview, Christopherson tried to elicit admissions or a confession from Koula about the double homicide of his parents due to inconsistencies in what he had told investigators.
He admitted to defense attorneys that investigators can use deceit to try to get the person being interviewed to admit something or even confess. He said in the July 29th interview he exaggerated evidence against Koula to try to get an admission from him.
Christopherson also testified that, in his opinion, .the 22 rifle found at Koula's parents' house was the murder weapon. That claim has not been definitively proven.
Pete Zervakis will have more on today's events in the trial on Live at Five, the 6pm and 10pm Reports.
