CHICAGO, Illinois (WXOW) - 21 veterans of the attack on Pearl Harbor boarded a jet Thursday in Chicago on a special journey to the place where so many lives were changed on December 7, 1941.
The group, all from Wisconsin, are part of an honor flight back to Pearl Harbor as a way of saying thank you for their service to the country on that tragic day.
As they headed through the airport in Chicago, the thank you's and special recognition had already begun.
WKOW's Lysee Mitri shows us their special sendoff in this report from Chicago.
