Minds in Motion Bike Tour

Posted:

Onalaska, WI (WXOW)-- Despite the rain more than 150 bicyclists rode in the Minds in Motion Bike Tour.

The ride kicked off at Onalaska Middle School. Participants could chose one of five different routes. The distances ranged from just five miles, all the way to 100 miles.

T-shirts and jerseys for the event were designed by Onalaska high school students. All the money raised at the event goes toward promoting health and fitness in the Onalaska School District.

"We'll be purchasing some kayaks, archery equipment, cross country skis, to supplement what they have," said Colleen Dixon, an organizer of the event. "So that students are learning some lifetime activities, that they can be doing once they're finished with school."

Minds in Motion raised more than $10,000 this year. WXOW is a proud sponsor of the event.
