Katherine Ann Gorman of Onalaska chosen Miss Wisconsin 2012
OSHKOSH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The new Miss Wisconsin 2012 is 23-year-old Katherine Ann Gorman of Onalaska.
Gorman was crowned Saturday night by the 2011 Miss Wisconsin and area resident, Reanna Mary Johnson of Holmen.
The Miss Wisconsin Pageant said Gorman, who entered as Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest, bested 22 other women for the title at Oshkosh West High School's Civil Auditorium.
Gorman is a 2012 elementary art education graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
First through fourth runners-up were, respectively: Kathryn Marie Williams, 23, of Wisconsin Rapids; Elizabeth Anne Kramer, 22, of Holmen; Raquel Faye Bruening, 20, of New Berlin and 24-year-old Desiree Sue Geffers, 24, of Oshkosh.
Sixteen-year-old Madeline Morgan, a classical pianist from Oregon, was named Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen 2012.
This was the 50th year anniversary of the state pageant being held in Oshkosh.
