LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW)—A newly formatted radio station will be hitting our area's airwaves soon, La Crosse Radio Group announce Saturday.
1490 AM WLFN will change from its current format of adult standards to a new upbeat, talk format; it will be called Today's Talk 1490.
The 24/7 talk radio station will kick off on July 1.
BS with Bob Schmidt will be broadcast in the morning from 6-9, Dennis Miller 9 am–12 pm, Michael Smerconish 12 pm–3 pm and Vicki McKenna will host a political program from 3 pm- 6 pm.
"My goal is to let people know what's going on and what matters and why it matters and how they can affect and make sure their voices are heard in government," McKenna said.
She said she is most excited about giving people an inside look at a world, state politics, that not a lot of people get to see.
