No one injured in La Crosse house fire

La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - The La Crosse Fire Department is investigating a house fire.

It happened close to 1am Saturday morning, at 1317 Market Street. 

Firefighters said they arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home. 

The fire was contained to one room but smoke and heat damage was severe.  Fire crews remained on the scene through most of the night.

Officials say two adults were home at the time, but had exited the home after smelling smoke.

No one was injured.

The fire is under investigation.
