
LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- The UW-L Physics Department has received national recognition for its high number of successful graduates.
The department is ranked third in the nation when it comes to granting physics bachelor's degrees.
UW-L averaged 23 graduates each year between 2008 and 2010, behind only the U.S. Naval Academy and the State University of New York Geneseo.
More than 400 other institutions with physics programs average four or fewer graduates per year.
This is the second time that UW-L's Physics Department has received this ranking.
