Pearl Harbor, HI (WXOW) The Battleship Missouri, now docked in Pearl Harbor, was not involved in the December 7th attack. She was not even commissioned until 1944; almost three years after the US entered the war. The Missouri earned her place of honor in Pearl Harbor because it was on her deck the Japanese surrendered to the Allies.
Stepping onto the Missouri was special for Chuck Davis. He boarded the ship wearing the jumper he was issued back in 1940. The Navy retired the jumper while Chuck was in boot camp. He never had a chance to wear it on a battleship until now. "I saved this. I thought I might want to see it again some day and I can still fit in it."
