Arrest in fatal 2009 crash

Sparta, WI (WXOW) - The Monroe County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Sparta man in connection with a fatal crash that killed the man's brother that took place in July of 2009, in Cashton.

The accident occurred in front of a residence at 15416 St Hwy 33.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Jason Schodeberg.

Authorities say at the time of the accident it was not determined who the driver of the car was.

After a lengthy investigation officers were able to determine that Schodeberg was the driver.

Officers say they believe Schodeberg was drinking.

Schodeberg was arrested Friday for homicide by negligent operations of a motor vehicle and will appear in court on Monday.

Schodeberg's brother, 30-year-old Glenn Schodeberg was killed in the crash.
