Curtains open for kids play

La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - The curtain is rising again for some La Crosse students.

Monday, the Summer School Children's Theater performed Beauty and the Beast.

The play is part of a fourteen day program to keep elementary age kids active during the long summer break.

It's not only fun for the kids but also a chance to try new things.

This is the fifth year the La Crosse School District has put on the Summer Theatre program
