LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- It's day three of a heat wave that is scouring our area, but La Crosse's Riverfest celebration continues.
Officials at the Gundersen Lutheran first aid booth have treated numerous dehydrated people so far, and they want to try and prevent that from happening more.
"Of course we want everybody to drink a lot of water, we want everybody to try and stay in the shade and take it as easy as you can...if you are feeling overheated, make sure you can rest frequently..and take as much water as you can take," R.N. Joe Irvin told News 19.
If you're at Riverfest and feeling dehydrated, you can stop by the first aid booth located at the south side of the festgrounds next to the bandshell.
