
WINONA, Minnesota (WXOW) -- One man is arrested after a standoff with authorities that lasted several hours at a Winona home starting Thursday evening.
Around 8pm Thursday, officers attempted to arrest Jeffrey Christopherson on warrants for burglary, firearms possession, and child support.
Christopherson refused to come out of the home he was in at the intersection of Broadway and Junction Street.
With Christopherson's refusal to come out, the Emergency Response Team was called.
Members of the Winona County Sheriff's Department and the La Crosse County Bearcat were involved in the situation.
Around 2 a.m., Christopherson surrendered.
No one was hurt.

WINONA, Minnesota (WXOW) -- More information is expected this morning about why police and sheriff's deputies surrounded a home in Winona for several hours beginning Thursday night.
KTTC reports the standoff started around 9 p.m. on the west side of town near the intersection of Broadway and Junction Street and lasted several hours.
The Winona County Sheriff's Department and Winona Police Department responded.
Investigators are not yet saying what happened or why the home was surrounded.
