LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - July 7 was the final day of Riverfest, and organizers say it's also been the busiest.
They say the weekend and cooler temperatures helped draw a larger crowd to Riverside Park.
People came to sample food from the 14 different vendors, who say they were pleased with the afternoon's turnout.
"People are getting excited. They want to get out," said lemonade vendor Jeremy Lagoo. It's a big part of the community, big part of the town. People are still coming out and people have a lot of making up to do. And we're really seeing that today."
Riverfest organizers say attendance was down this year compared to last year, citing record heat as the primary reason.
