La Crosse, WI (WXOW)-- The heat is also hard on our area's wildlife. Hundreds of dead carp are floating in the water by the trails at Myrick Park.
A representative from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the fish did die from the excessive heat. And it's not just carp. The DNR has received reports of dead Bass, Northerns and Perch, in areas around the state.
