La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon Counties all have bans until conditions change.
What that means is that burn piles and burn barrels are not allowed. Campfires are banned except in developed camping areas.
Grills are allowed as long as they are done on a non-combustible surface such as a concrete.
Disposing of burning materials outdoors-namely cigarettes and cigars, is also prohibited.
