LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Wittich Hall on the UWL campus will reopen in mid-August.
A fire in June closed the building, one of the oldest at the university.
Currently, crews are wiping down surfaces affected by smoke damage and cleaning out the room where the fire started.
Facilities officials say the fire was mostly contained to one room, making it easier to repair damages.
That's compared to the January fire in the basement of Drake Hall, which closed for the entire spring semester.
