Neumann campaigns in La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mark Neumann speaks out against the health care reform bill, stating that the measure hurts the economy.

Neumann brought his campaign to La Crosse on Thursday, and the former congressman supports repealing the law if elected.

"It's really about jobs and job creation. Because when the government raises taxes, that means people have less of their own money in their pocket," Neumann said. "And when they have less money in their pocket, it means they're going to spend less. And when they spend less, our economy stays down in the tank like it is right now."

Neumann says his plan to reform health care includes promoting health savings accounts, changing the laws regarding medical lawsuits, and allowing people to buy coverage across state lines.

Neumann is one of four candidates running for the Republican Nomination.
