LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse Police track down and arrest a suspect in several burglaries of construction equipment and materials.

Based on information from a local recycling business, Investigator Tony De Lap was eventually led to 26-year-old Brent R. Moser of La Crosse.

A release from the department states that when questioned, Moser admitted his involvement in the thefts and burglaries.  Police say Moser told them he stole the items to get cash to buy heroin.

Investigators found at Moser's West Avenue residence several thousand dollars of materials and equipment from burglaries at Modern Mechanical and FABCO Equipment, both in La Crosse. The news release says officers found a number of other items at Moser's home that are believed to be stolen.  They're working on identifying the owners of the items.

Moser is in the La Crosse County jail on a theft charge according to court records.
