11-Year Old Girl Arrested Following Madison Stabbing

MADISON, Wisconsin (WKOW) – An 11-year old boy was hospitalized and an 11-year old girl was arrested following a stabbing Saturday evening on Madison's west side.

Police said they were called to the neighborhood just before 7 p.m., and found the boy bleeding from a stab wound to the abdomen when they arrived.

He was taken to the hospital, and the young girl was later arrested in connection with the stabbing.

The boy is now listed as being in stable condition.

Police said they suspect the two children were playing when events took a turn towards the violent.

The girl is being held at the Dane County Juvenile Reception Center.

More information as to possible charges is expected Monday.
