LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The City of La Crosse would like to remind residents that the burning ban issued earlier this month is still in effect.
This means that outdoor recreational fire pits and fireworks are not allowed until after the ban. La Crosse doesn't allow open burning.
Grills can be used as long as they are constantly supervised.
The Wisconsin DNR has upgraded La Crosse and the county to a Very High fire danger. Counties adjacent to La Crosse are now listed as Extreme fire danger.
