ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester man has pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted murder in the stabbing of a 2-year-old boy.
Antonio Roebuck, 23, was sentenced Monday in Olmsted County District Court to 27 years in prison. As part of a plea agreement, he'll be eligible for parole after 18 years.
He also pleaded guilty to first-degree assault for stabbing a man who confronted him after Roebuck stabbed 2-year-old Xavier Njemanze.
The stabbing happened March 1 at an apartment on 10th Street NW. That's where police say Roebuck stabbed 2-year-old Xavier and the man trying to stop him.
Xavier is making progress in his recovery.
