Firefighters suffer heat exhaustion in Milw. fire

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - At least two firefighters have been treated for heat exhaustion while battling a five-alarm fire at an auto repair business in Milwaukee.

The fire at Joe's East Coast Car Shop in the Riverwest neighborhood continued to burn hours after it started about 9:30 a.m. Rotating firefighters worked in humid temperatures in the mid-90s.

We Energies deactivated nearby power line to keep firefighters safe, temporarily cutting electricity to about 4,000 customers.
