La Crosse Fire Department battles blaze in the heat

La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - No one is injured in an electric fire on La Crosse's South side.

It happened around 6 Tuesday night at 1726 Johnson Street.

According to the La Crosse Fire Department, the fire started in the attack.

They made an aggressive interior attack and were able to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters say the home sustained moderate smoke and water damage.

During that time of the day Tuesday, temperatures were close to 100-degrees.

Tri-state ambulance was on the scene of the fire to help crews stay cool.

They offered a cooling station and rehabilitation due to the extreme heat.
