Mississippi River Adventure Day

Lansing, Iowa (WXOW)  The organization begin with four or five people around a kitchen table.  Now, the group called Friends of Pool 9 is more than 600-members strong.

The friends group is dedicated to the health of the river and the Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge.  They're always looking for members willing to help, but they're also concerned about longevity.

That's where something called the Mississippi River Adventure Day comes in.  You can learn more from the attached story by News 19 photographer Mark Bronson and reporter Dave Solie.
