WINONA, Minnesota (WXOW) - (UPDATED) - A Winona State graduate living in Colorado is one of 59 victims wounded in the deadly shooting at an Aurora movie theater.

In a posting on his Facebook page, Carey Rottman said, "Shot in the leg at Batman. Where is he when you need him. Please pray for everyone there."

Rottman, who graduated in 2008, played football at Winona State.  Head Coach Tom Sawyer tells WXOW that Rottman is a great man and was well liked by his teammates.

Sawyer says of Rottman, "He's wounded, but he'll be all right."

Rottman's Facebook page says the Mequon native lives and works for Coors in Denver.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Rottman was with a friend who was shot twice, but is recovering.

The Sheboygan Press also reports a 15-year-old girl from Plymouth, Wisconsin was in an adjacent theater.  Katie Trakel was not hurt, but told the Press that a bullet came through the wall and hit one of her friends in the arm.
